Film Comp
SO, you’re into filmmaking and fancy yourself as the next Quentin Tarantino or Martin Scorsese or maybe Steven Spielberg, or perhaps you want to help raise awareness of a worthy cause and wouldn’t mind some serious dosh? Well, get filming! THE OASIS: Homeless Short Film Competition is a national comp for secondary school students. More than 32,000 people under 25 are homeless, and you can make a difference by creating a film about any aspect of the issue. Fifteen lucky finalists will have their films screened by the Sydney Theatre Company and there’s $25,000 in prize money up for grabs.
Entries close September 16; head to www.theoasismovie.com.au to find out everything you need to know.
